2 sticks (1 cup) of margarine, softened
1 cup white sugar
1 cup light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups of flour
1 tsp. baking soda
˝ tsp. salt
2 cups oatmeal
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1 cup chocolate chips (optional)
1 cup raisins, slightly chopped (optional)
Secret ingredient… 1 cup of crushed corn flakes (I have also used whatever on hand such as Total or Bran Flakes).

Directions:

Beat together margarine, sugars, eggs, vanilla. Add dry ingredients. Drop by the spoonfuls onto baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes.

Clive’s mother would use waxed paper and roll these into freeze and bake rolls. This dough freezes great, take roll out of freezer then slice and bake.
