6 regular Hershey bars with almonds (or 1 large bar)
1 graham cracker pie crust
1 large Cool-Whip tub
Directions:

Melt candy in double boiler; remove from stove and cool about 3 or 4 minutes
Fold into Cool-Whip and pour mixture into pie crust. Freeze; or refrigerate
several hours before serving.

A true family favorite. Mamother always freezes this pie.
One famous Thanksgiving, Mamother got the chocolate melted and was ready to make the second Hershey Chocolate Pie (always make two) when she realized that she only had one tub of Cool Whip! She substituted Eagle Brand, and maybe baked the pie for a little while, she couldn't remember exactly what she did, unfortunately.
But no matter what, "X Pie' was born, a legend, and amazingly decadent. We have never been able to reproduce X Pie, which might be a good thing because we would all weigh 300 lbs. Feel free to experiment and let me know if you are successful.
