2 c. brown sugar
2/3 c. shortening
1/2 c. sour milk or 1/2 c. sweet milk with 1 tsp. vinegar
1 egg
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. each: cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, and allspice
2 c. dry oats
2 c. flour
1 c. nuts
1 c. raisins
1 tsp. cocoa

Directions:
Directions:
Cream brown sugar and shortening.
Add the milk and egg. Mix well.

Mix baking soda, baking powder, spices, cocoa, lour, and oats. Add to cream mixture.

Stir in nuts and raisins.
Drop by spoonfuls on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake 350º for 10-12 min.
