"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 8 oz package of cream cheese, can use low fat cream cheese, but do NOT use no fat cream cheese
1/2 small jar of Pace Chunky Salsa, mild or medium (about 3/4 cup)
8 oz of shredded cheddar cheese or Mexican blend cheese (this is an approximation)

Directions:
Directions:
1) Allow cream cheese to soften at room temperature. Spread the cream cheese in a thin uniform layer over the bottom of a 13 X 9 or slightly smaller microwaveable dish

2) Pour salsa over cream cheese and shake to spread evenly. Sprinkle cheddar cheese over salsa.

3) Microwave in 1 minute bursts on high or medium-high until cheese melts, 2-3 minutes. It helps to use a microwave with a turntable that is large enough to allow the dish to turn freely. If your microwave is smaller, turn the dish every 30 seconds.

4) Serve with tortilla chips, and start on the next batch

Personal Notes:
This is THE DIP. John won't appreciate me mentioning this, but during his college career, he called me at least 3 different times to get the recipe for this dip, more than 2 ingredients makes it tough!
