1 minced medium onion
1 pound ground beef
3 tablespoons salad oil
3 8-ounce cans tomato sauce
1 cup Burgundy wine
¼ teaspoon dried oregano
¼ teaspoon dried rosemary
¼ teaspoon dried marjoram
¼ teaspoon dried basil
Dash garlic salt
1 tablespoon sugar
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
½ pound spaghetti broken into 2” lengths
2 cups grated processed American cheddar cheese

Day before, in large skillet or Dutch oven, sauté onion and beef in salad oil until brown. Add tomato sauce and next 9 ingredients and simmer covered, stirring occasionally for 1 hour. Meanwhile, cook spaghetti as package directs; drain. Add to sauce with 1 cup grated cheese. Turn into a 3-quart casserole, refrigerate. About 1½ hours before serving sprinkle top of casserole with ½ cup grated cheese. Bake covered at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 30 minutes. Serves about 6. More cheese can be added according to your taste.
