3 tbsp. margarine
3 shallots, peeled and thinly sliced
1/8 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 lb. green beans, rinsed and trimmed

Directions:
Directions:
1. In med. saucepan, melt 2 tbsp. margarine over med. heat. Swirl to coat bottom of pan.
2. Add shallots, cover, reduce heat to med-low. Cook while stirring occasionally til golden brown (~15 mins).
3. Meanwhile, in a large pot of boiling salted water, cook green beans until fork tender (~5 mins). Drain & return to pot.
4. Toss with remaining tbsp. margarine & season with salt and pepper.
5. Transfer green beans to a serving dish and top with caramelized shallots.
