1 onion chopped
3 carrots chopped
2 cloves minced garlic
2 tsp. sugar
3 cups chicken broth
1 can corn or frozen
15 oz. can red or kidney beans drained
15 oz. can black beans drained
can of diced tomatoes with jalapenos
can of diced tomatoes
small can diced green chilies
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

Add all to a pot and cook till carrots are soft, about 30 minutes or so. Or put ingredients in a crock pot in the morning, turn on low, come back at dinner time and it's ready for you. You can add smoked sausage or chicken if you want. Serve with some kind of warm bread or corn bread.
