1 med. acorn squash (peeled, seeded and cubed)
½ c. chopped onion
3 cloves garlic - minced
salt
pepper
¼ c. butter (not margarine)
13½ oz can evaporated milk
2 c. water
1 bay leaf

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first 7 ingredients in a large Dutch oven. Heat on medium for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add milk and water. Stir and bring to a boil then reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 25 minutes stirring occasionally until squash is very tender. Remove and discard the bay leaf. Transfer to a processor.
