1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. dates, chopped
1 c. walnuts
1 c. milk
whipped cream for topping
Directions:
Directions:
Oven: 350°
Mix together brown sugar and water and pour in (9 X 9-inch) pan. Stir together remaining ingredients and pour into syrup mixture. Bake 30 minutes. Serve with whipped cream :-) This is very rich and a Hawkins family favorite.
