½ cup brown sugar
½ cup granulated sugar
½ cup shortening - butter is fine
½ cup peanut butter
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 ¾ cups flour
½ tsp salt
1 tsp soda
Hershey kisses

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the sugar, shortening and peanut butter, add the egg and vanilla. Blend in flour mixture. Batter will be stiff. Roll into small balls – the size of a walnut. Roll in extra sugar, bake in 375 degree oven for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and top with a Hershey kiss (peeled) pressing the kiss into the cookie. Bake about 2 minutes longer. Cool a minute, remove from cookie sheet. Makes about 36 small cookies.
