Cream together:
1 ½ cups sugar
¾ cup shortening
Add:
2 eggs to creamed mixture

1 cup buttermilk 1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda 1 tsp. vanilla
3 cups flour ¾ cup lemon juice
4 tsp. baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Roll out on lightly floured board to about ¼” thickness, for soft cookies.

Bake at 375 degrees on ungreased pans until very light brown.
