5 eggs
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 tsp. vanilla extract
pinch of salt
1 c. heavy whipping cream
milk to fill freezer
ice and rock salt

Yield: 1 gallon
Beat eggs 15 minutes with electric mixer. Add sugars, salt and vanilla. Mix together. Add cream; mix. Pour into container of ice cream freezer. Add enough milk to fill container 2/3 to 3/4 full. Cover with lid and set into freezer bucket. Freeze using crushed ice and rock salt to fill freezer bucket (4 c. ice to 1 c. salt) For 6 qt. freezer use 1 1/2 times recipe.

This recipe is from Nana- Emma Jean Hamilton and our family favorite. Can also add 3 to 4 bananas for banana ice cream.
