2 lbs dry beans
1 tsp soda
1 medium onion diced
1 Tblsp salt
4 tsp vinegar
1 tsp mustard
1/4 c brown sugar
1/2 c molasses
1/4 c ketchup
1/4 tsp pepper
3/4 lb salt pork, sliced (bacon)

Directions:
Directions:
Soak beans overnight in water and salt. Drain and cover with fresh water, add soda and bring to a boil. Put onion in bottom a deep casserole with the rest of the seasonings. Add hot beans and liquid (enough to barely cover the beans). Lay strips of pork on top of the beans. Cover and bake @ 250º for 9-10 hours. Add more water as liquid evaporates. Remove cover and bake 1 hour longer.
