3 cans diced tomatoes Italian style
4 cloves minced garlic
1pkg. bacon
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp.. Italian seasoning

Directions:
Directions:
Fry bacon until crisp, then remove from pan. Saute onions and garlic in bacon drippings. Add other ingredients bring to a boil then simmer at least 15 minutes covered. Add crumbled bacon right before serving. Serve over spaghetti with a salad, and Buttery Garlic Breadsticks.

This was the first dish Kenny asked for after he graduated from Army Basic Training in Ft. Benning,along with Greek Salad, and Peanut Butter Pie. He told me he had been dreaming of home cooking all throughout his training. We stayed in a cabin on base and that is where I cooked up the coveted meal. His buddy,Pilotte, joined in the feast too!
