1/2 lb. bacon, dice & browned. To drippings add 3 T. flour. Stir and set aside to cool.
Beat together:
1 1/3 c. water
1/2 c. vinegar
1 c. sugar
2 raw eggs

Directions:
With whisk add flour mixture to other mixture and bring to boil while stirring constantly.

Hard boil 4 eggs and dice. Sprinkle bacon and eggs over lettuce or endive or mix into dressing and pour over greens.

If I don't have bacon, I use 1 T. ham base and 2-3 T. oil instead of bacon and drippings. Then can use bacon bits.
