Ingredients:  
1 qt. fresh or frozen fruit(raspberries, blackberries, cherries or other)
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. water
1 1/2 T. cornstarch
Cover and bring to a boil.

Dumplings:
2 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 T. butter
1 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients together, cut in butter and add milk, stirring only to mix enough so it holds together. Drop by spoon full into the boiling fruit. Cover and boil for 12 minutes. Serve immediately, plain or with cream, whipped cream or ice cream.

DO NOT uncover while cooking dumplings.
