3/4 c cake flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
4 eggs; separated
3/4 c sugar; divided
1/4 tsp almond extract
9 oz carton cool whip
16 oz package strawberries thawed and drained OR 1 pint fresh strawberries sprinkled with sugar.

Directions:
Put wax paper in bottom of 15x10 inch pan. Combine and sift 3 or 4 times; the cake flour, baking powder and salt. Beat egg whites, add 1/4 c sugar and set aside. Beat egg yolks and 1/2 c sugar until thick. Add egg whites and flour mixture alternately. Pour batter into pan and bake at 350º for approximately 15 min. Do not over bake. Take cake out of pan by turning onto powdered sugar tea towel. Roll cake and towel into a roll. let cool for 10 minutes. Unroll and fill with strawberries and whip cream mixture. Roll up again and wrap in waxed paper. Chill 1 hour.
