1 Brisket or Corner Beef
1 White Cabbage Head
1 large Onion
1 can Beer, flat or 8 oz. Water
2 Bay Leaves
3 Garlic cloves, diced
2 medium Carrots, sliced

Directions:
Directions:
If corned, remove from package and cover in water. Soak for 24 hours in fridge, changing water twice. Preheat oven to 300º. Slice up 1/4 white cabbage and large onion. Place in bottom of covered roasting pan, set brisket on top. Pour a 8 oz. water or flat beer over top. Add bay leaves, cloves and carrots. Cover and bake for 32 to 34 minutes per pound. Drain off excess juices in pan. You only need 1 1/2 c. at any time. Temperature should be at least 200º.
