2 c sugar
1 3/4 c white corn syrup
1 c butter
1 c cream

Mix all except 1/2 c cream
When mix starts to boil add the second 1/2 c of cream. Cook to 260º on the candy thermometer. But the color will be quite dark or it won't set up. Pour into a buttered metal pan. Be careful- it gets very hot. Glass might
crack. Let cool a while - Cut and wrap in waxed paper. If it cools a long time it will have to break rather than cut. Can do in one of the heavy
large measuring bowls in the microwave. But watch very closely as it will
burn easily.
