3-4 lb pork loin back ribs, or spareribs

HERB RUB:
1 T. chopped fresh rosemary or 1 tsp. dried rosemary leaves, crushed
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/4 tsp. coarsely ground black pepper

GLAZE:
1/3 c firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 c Dijon mustard
3 T. cider vinegar
1 T. molasses
2 tsp. dry mustard

MICROWAVE TO GRILL DIRECTIONS:

Heat grill. Cut ribs into sections. In small bowl, combine all herb rub ingredients; rub over top side of ribs. Arrange ribs in layers in 12 x 8 inch (2 quart) microwave-safe dish. Cover with micro-safe plastic wrap. Microwave on HIGH fir 15 minutes or until ribs are no longer pink, rearranging and turning ribs once during cooking.

Meanwhile, in small bowl, combine all glaze ingredients; mix well.

Immediately place ribs on gas grill over medium-low heat or on charcoal grill 6-8 inches from medium coals. Cook 15-25 minutes or until browned, turning frequently and brushing with glaze during last 10 minutes of cooking. Heat any remaining glaze to a boil; serve with ribs.

OVEN TO GRILL DIRECTIONS:

Heat oven to 350º F. Prepare her rub as directed above; rub over top side of ribs. Place ribs in a 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake at 350º. for 1 hour.

Meanwhile, prepare glaze as directed above. Place ribs on grill. Continue as directed above.

If you are like me and get tired of just plain old barbecued ribs, try this delicious alternative. I have used the oven method many times to make this recipe. Cooking the ribs first shortens the grilling time. ENJOY!
