3 lbs. country style spareribs
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 clove garlic minced
1/2 C. chopped onions
2 T. paprika
1/2 C. brown sugar
1 T. dry mustard
2 C. canned tomato sauce
2 C. chicken broth
1/2 C. vinegar
1 tsp. pickling spice (in cheesecloth bag)

Cut ribs into serving size pieces then rub with mixture of garlic, salt and pepper. Place on a rack in a roasting pan in a 375º oven for 15 min. turning once. Pour off the fat and remove the rack. Add the onions and paprika, bake 5 min. Add the sugar, mustard, tomato sauce, chicken broth, vinegar and pickling spice and mix well.
Bake one hour - basting frequently. Strain sauce over and serve.
