Ingredients:
Ingredients:
! cup pecans,I use more
1-9" pie shell
3 eggs
1 cup white corn syrup
1 cup sugar
3 Tbsp. margarine( I use butter)
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
Praline Topping

Directions:
Directions:
Place pecans in bottom of pie shell. Beat eggs, mix in syrup, sugar, melted margarine, vanilla, and salt. Pour over pecans. Bake at 400* for 15 minutes. Lower heat to 350* and bake an additional 30 minutes or until set. You will probably need to cover the edge of the pie crust with foil midway so it will not burn.
Praline Topping
Immerse one can of Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk (unopened) in a pot of water and boil 3 hours. Watch carefully and be certain the can stays immerged under water ( you will probably need to add more water) Cool completely before opening can; ice pecan pie with contents of can. I have learned to only use half the can as it is so rich..Save the rest to go over vanilla ice cream. Other brands of the condensed milk do not give you the same results.
