5 pounds potatoes (boiled and peeled)
1/2 pound bacon ( fry and crumble)
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups vinegar
2/3 cup water
1/3 cup bacon grease
1/2 cup celery chopped and diced (fried in bacon grease)
1/2 cup onion (fried in bacon grease)
1/4 cup mango
1/4 cup flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour with sugar
Add vinegar, water and bacon grease
Stir until it boils and thickens
Add 1 T. of mustard and 1 T. Salt and 1/2 tsp. pepper
Pour over remaining ingredients and serve warm

Dad got this recipe from a German lady years ago. She always used Idaho potatoes. Dad, Rita and I love this potato salad. The rest of the family - not so much. I always try to make it when I know Dad and Rita will be there to appreciate it with me.
