Cucumbers
9 c. water
1 c. vinegar
1/4 c. pickling salt
1 tsp. alum

per jar:
1 onion, sliced
2 cloves of garlic
1 large head of dill

Directions:
Directions:
Wash and brush the cucumbers. Fill each quart sized canning jar with cucumbers, onion, garlic, and dill.

In a pot, bring the water, vinegar, salt and alum to a boil. Pour into the canning jars leaving 1/2 inch head space.

Wipe the jar rims and cover with hot lids and rings. Process in a hot water bath for 30 minutes.

Store for 6 weeks before eating.
