One and a half pound of meat with bones; ribs, chicken, and pork chops
1/2 gallon water
one bay leaf
4 large carrots
2 parsley roots
one leak
salt and pepper
2 cups of barley
6 Irish potatoes
Maggi seasoning
dill's green

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a large pot put in the meat, water, and bay leaf and boil for one hour
2. Lower the heat and simmer for another 20 minutes
3. Cut the carrots, parsley, celery into small pieces and add to the soup while it is simmering
4. Also add a whole leek and salt and pepper to taste
5. Cut the potatoes into cubes and add them and the barley after 10 minutes of simmering
6. Add Maggi seasoning
7. Continue cooking on low heat until all the ingredients are soft
8. Sprinkle the soup with parsley or dill's green
9. Serve with a slice of dark bread
It is customary in Poland to eat soup with a slice of bread
