2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
½ tsp. salt
2 sticks oleo
1 c. water
2 tbsp. cocoa
2 eggs (well beaten)
1 tsp. soda
½ c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, measure, resift with sugar and salt. In a saucepan, put oleo, water and cocoa. Bring to a boil and pour over flour and sugar mixture. In another bowl put eggs, soda, buttermilk and vanilla. Add to above mixture and mix well. Bake in a greased and floured shallow pan (15 ½ X10 ½ x1). Bake for 20 min. at 350. Start icing the last 5 min. cake is baking.

Chocolate Frosting-Quick N Easy
1 stick oleo
3 tbsp. cocoa
6 tbsp. milk
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
½ c. chopped pecans
Mix oleo, cocoa and milk in saucepan. Heat over low flame, but do not boil. Remove from heat and add powdered sugar, nuts and vanilla. Mix well. Frost cake as soon as removed from oven. Cut cake in squares to serve. Makes
