1 pound ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
¾ cup chopped green pepper
1 x 19 oz can tomatoes
1 x 7 ½ oz can tomato sauce
2 x 14 oz cans pinto or red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
1 bay leaf

Directions:

Brown the first three ingredients in a saucepan. Add the remaining ingredients. Bring to boil, cover, reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour.

Remove bay leaf. Serve with hot rolls and a salad.
