2 c. sugar
1 c. buttermilk
1/4 stick butter
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tbsp. light Karo syrup
1 pint of pecans, chopped
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix all ingredients and beat over medium heqt in a large pot until it comes to a boil and thickens Set off heat and add vanilla and mix well. When lukewarm, beat until thick as fudge. Pour into a buttered plate..
