12 slices dry, stale bread
6 eggs
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
3 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Generously butter 9x13 baking pan. Trim crusts from bread slices and arrange in pan. In large bowl, beat eggs until light. Beat in sugar, salt, and cinnamon. Stir in milk and vanilla. Pour mixture over bread. Bread should be completely covered. Add more milk if necessary. Bake for 45 minutes at 350º, or until top is lightly brown and knife inserted comes out clean. Serve warm with ice cream.
