1-1/2 lbs ground beef
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) cream of chicken soup
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
1 package (32 ounces) frozen Tater Tots
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 350ºF degrees.

In large skillet cook beef, half at a time, until brown. Drain fat.

Spread meat in 2-quart rectangular baking dish. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. In medium bowl combine chicken soup and mushroom soup. Pour over meat. Arrange potatoes on top.

Bake, uncovered, for 15 minutes. Sprinkle cheese over potatoes. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes more or until heated through.
