1 cup butter
2 cups celery
2 cups.onion
2 8-ounces cans mushrooms, drained
12 to 13 cups slightly toasted bread cubes
1 tsp. poultry seasoning
11/2 tsp. salt
11/2 tsp. sage
1 tsp. dried thyme
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. marjoram (optional)
31/2 to 41/2 cups chicken broth
2 well beaten eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in skillet and sauté onion, celery and mushrooms. Pour over bread cubes in large bowl. Add seasonings and toss well together. Pour in enough broth to moisten; add beaten eggs and mix together. Pack in crockpot lightly. Cover and set on high for 45 minutes ; then reduce to low and cook 4 to 8 hours.

I mix seasonings in small amount of broth and add eggs to this and pour in bread
