11/2 c.powdered sugar
1c.unsalted butter,softened
1t.real good vanilla
1/2t. almond extract
1 egg
21/2 c.Gold medal all purpose flour
1t.baking soda
1t. cream of tartar

Mix dry ingredients together, set a side. Mix powdered sugar, butter, vanilla, almond extract and egg in a large bowl. Add a little of the dry ingredients at a time. When all is together, form into a large round ball, divide in half and wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate 3 hours. Next roll out on a floured surface. Chose cookie cutters. Place on parchment paper or ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 7-8 minutes,until golden. Cool completely. I frost the next day I always double the recipe. Frosting-2 c.powdered sugar,1/2t.vanilla,1/4t.almond extract,2.T.1/2&1/2. Mix together until its smooth and creamy. Add your color,then decorate!
