1 cup butter or margarine, softened
2/3 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tablespoon grated orange zest
2 tablespoons orange extract
2 and 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 tablespoon baking soda
1/2 tablespoon salt
2 cups (12 ounces) white chocolate chips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º.
In a mixing bowl, beat first three ingredients at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy. Add egg, orange zest, and orange extract, beating until blended.

Combine flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually add to sugar mixture, beating just until blended after each addition. Stir in white chocolate chips. Drop dough by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased baking sheet.

Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes. Transfer to wire racks to cool.
