Syrup:
4 c sugar
2 c cider vinegar
few drops oil of cinnamon
few drops oil of cloves

1 lug peaches (approximate)

Directions:
Bring syrup to boil. Drop peeled halved peaches in syrup, do not crowd. Layer your first round of peach halves in bottom of kettle. Bring to boil. Drop peach pit in each jar for added flavor. Pack jars, usually 5 peach halves in each pint jar, fill each jar with juice (to the top!). Repeat until all peaches have been in syrup, you may need to make additional syrup. Wipe jar rim clean. Seal.
