Ingredients: 1 cup butter, melted 1 cup packed brown sugar 1/2 cup white sugar 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 1/2 cup flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon cloves 1/2 teaspoon salt 3 cup oats 1 cup raisins 1 cup of rum

Directions:1. Soak raisins in rum for 30 minutes before using.
2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
3. Cream the butter and sugars together. Add eggs and vanilla and mix until smooth. Combine flour, soda, cinnamon, cloves, and salt. Stir into sugar mixture. Stir in oats and raisins (don’t forget to soak raisins in rum for 30 minutes before using). Drop by rounded teaspoonful on ungreased cookie sheet.
4. Bake 10-12 minutes until light and golden. Do not over bake! Let cool two minutes before placing on cooling rack. |
