2 c Karo syrup
1 c sugar
2 T butter
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine the first 3 ingredients in a pan and bring to a boil over medium heat.
Stir constantly until sugar dissolves. Cook to hard boil stage. Remove from heat. Stir in soda and vanilla. Beat with a mixer until smooth and creamy. Pour in to a buttered pan. Let cool. When cool enough to handle with buttered fingers, pull until satiny and light colored. Pull into long strips 3/4 in in diameter. Cut into 1 inch pieces and wrap in waxed paper.
