1/2 C. margarine or butter
2 cloves crushed garlic
1/2 C. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 C. milk
2 C. chicken broth
2 C. shredded mozarella cheese (8 oz.)
1/2 C. grated parmesan cheese
1 med. chopped onion (or about 1/2 cup)
1 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp oregano leaves
1/4 tsp pepper
8 oz. cooked lasagna noodles
2 C. creamed cottage cheese
2 C. cooked cut-up chicken
2 pkgs (10 oz. ea) frozen chopped spinach, thawed & drained
1/2 C. grated parmesan cheese (for top of casserole)

Heat margarine in 2 quart saucepan over low heat until melted; add crushed garlic. Stir in flour & salt. Cook, stirring constantly, until bubbly. Remove from heat, stir in milk & broth. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil & stir 1 minute. Stir in mozarella cheese, 1/2 C. parmesan, onion, basil, oregano & pepper. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until mozarella is melted. Spread 1/4 of the melted cheese sauce onto ungreased baking dish, top with 3 or 4 lasagna noodles, cottage cheese, chicken & spinach. Continue layering until complete. Finish with noodle layer. Then sprinkle with remaining parmesan cheese. Bake in 400º oven for 45 min. - 1 hour. Serve with garlic bread & a salad if you like.

I also like to sprinkle olive oil on top noodle & some dried italian herbs. Can broil casserole for the last 5 minutes to brown top a little (or not)
