1/2 c dark molasses
1/2 c lemon juice
1/2 c yellow mustard
1/4 c Worcestershire sauce
1 to 2 tsp hot pepper sauce
1 tsp salt

Variation: substitute liquid smoke for the Worcestershire

Mix ingredients in pan and simmer 10 minutes. Use for basting during cooking. (Make ahead and keep in mason jar in refrigerator)
