2 sticks of softened butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
2 1/2 tsp of vanilla
1/4 tsp of powdered clove spice
1/2 tsp of salt
2 1/2 cups of all purpose flour

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375º

Combine the butter and sugar in a large bowl and using an electric mixer, beat until light and fluffy, about five minutes.

Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, clove and salt. Gradually incorporate the flour about a 1/4 cup at a time.

Pack the dough into the cookie press and fit with the desired disk. Press the dough out onto an ungreased, non non-stick cookie tray about an inch apart. Sprinkle any decoration on before cooking.

Bake until lightly golden, about 10 minutes. Gently transfer to cooling rack.
Makes about 90 cookies.
