1 ½ cups sugar
1 ½ cups packed brown sugar
1 cup light cream
3 tablespoons butter
2 cups pecan halves
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
Bring sugar, brown sugar and cream to a boil in heavy 3-quart saucepan, stirring constantly. Cook to 234 to 240 degrees on candy thermometer, soft-ball stage, for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring only to prevent sticking. Remove from heat. Add butter; do not stir. Cool for 30 minutes or until mixture registers 150 degrees on candy thermometer. Stir in pecans and vanilla. Beat for 2 to 3 minutes or until slightly thickened and glossy. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto waxed paper-lined baking sheet. May add several drops of hot water if mixture becomes too stiff.
