½ cup Crisco shortening
½ cup natural peanut butter
½ cup white sugar
½ cup brown sugar
1 ¾ cups unbleached flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). In bowl, mix shortening, peanut butter, and sugars until smooth. Add flour, baking soda and salt. Mix. Add milk and vanilla. Make dough into 1 ½” balls and roll them in sugar. Bake 8 minutes on ungreased cookie sheet. Put a chocolate kiss on top and bake for another 3 minutes.
