1 lb boneless, skinless chicken, cut in chunks
1 large potato, peeled and cut in 1/2-inch chunks
1 large onion, coarsely chopped
1 (14.5-ounce) can stewed tomatoes and juice
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tsp curry powder
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1 tsp kosher salt
1 cinnamon stick
1/2 c Greek plain yogurt (to add later)
cooked brown long grain rice for serving

Put the chicken into the bottom of the slow cooker. Add potato and onion. Pour in the tomatoes, and add garlic and all spices. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or high for 3 to 4. Discard the cinnamon stick, and stir in the yogurt. Serve over rice.

This is another way we season our chicken - Indian curry. But don't worry; it's not as hot and spicy as some Indian dishes. Our family loves Indian cuisine. I like to visit a good Indian buffet (since we are still learning about the cuisine, this is a good way to taste a lot of different dishes one small scoop at a time). My dad's saying of "You need to try something different at least once" rings true in our family.
