Combine the ingredients for the BBQ sauce:

15 oz tomato sauce (1 can)
¾ cup white vinegar
1 small onion diced or 2 TBS dried onion re-hydrated
¼ cup (+2 Tbs) packed, dark brown sugar
3 Tbs molasses
½ tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
3 lbs thawed chicken breast

Directions:

Put the sauce in the crock pot and add the chicken

Cover and cook on HIGH for 6 hours OR on LOW for 8 hours.

After cooking, put the chicken breasts a side and pour the sauce into a medium pot.

To thicken the sauce, mix 1 Tbs corn starch with a small amount of water, then stir into the pot with the sauce. Bring to a boil for 1 minute.

Use a potato masher or 2 forks to shred the chicken. Combine the chicken and the sauce.
