1 lb. ground beef
*sometimes Mollye uses 1/2 Italian sausage, but original is all beef
2 cloves garlic
1 8-oz. can tomato sauce
1 #2 can tomatoes
*Mollye likes to use the petite tomatoes
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. dried oregano
1/2 lb. lasagna noodles
1/2 lb. sliced mozzarella (Mollye uses grated)
1/4 lb. ricotta (Mollye sometimes uses cottage cheese)
Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º.
Cook ground beef with garlic
Add next 4 ingredients.
Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
Meanwhile, cook lasagna noodles in salted water until tender (about 15 minutes).
Drain and rinse noodles.
Fill an ungreased, uncovered casserole dish with alternate layers of noodles, mozzarella, ricotta and meat sauce.
Top with Parmesan.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
