1 stick butter
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon lemon juice
3/4 cup whipping cream

Directions:

Melt the butter in a heavy saucepan over medium heat. Slowly add in the sugar whisking constantly. Add the lemon juice and whisk to blend. Continue to cook, stirring constantly for about 5 or 6 minutes until mixture turns a caramel color. Then, add in the whipping cream still stirring constantly. Stir until smooth, about 1 or 2 minutes. Serve or transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 1 week.
