Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Two slabs of ribs - beef, pork, baby back, spare ribs, etc.
Yellow, spicy brown, or honey mustard
Brining ingredients:
1 bottle (8-12 oz) of “Slow as Molasses” molasses
Half-container of salt (for tenderizing, but does not make the ribs salty)
2 qt. water

Directions:
Directions:
Put ribs into two-quart freezer bags and cover well with brining mixture. Remove air from bags and seal. Put in refrigerator for 24 hours. Take ribs out of brining mixture and pat dry.
Slather ribs with mustard. This not only provides a little tang to the ribs, but also gives the rib rub/seasonings something to stick to. Generously season ribs with your favorite spices (McCormick’s rib, steak, or pork rubs are available in the spice section at the super market and are quick, easy blends to use.)
Cook on outdoor grill or in kitchen oven at 225º F for 5-6 hours. Be sure not to overcook, but check with a meat thermometer to ensure the meat is cooked thoroughly. Embellish with your favorite barbecue sauce either on the side or slather the ribs with sauce 15-20 minutes before removing from the grill or oven.

Personal Notes:
Patience. The slower these cook, the better. Be sure to have an ample supply of napkins on hand.
