5 1/2 cups unpopped Popcorn
2 cups granulated sugar
2/3 cup corn syrup (light Karo)

Directions:
Preheat Oven at 200/250º

Pop 5 - 1/2 cups unpopped popcorn. For each 1/2 cup popped popcorn, pour onto a cloth so you can get all the unpopped kernels out by fluffing with hands and putting popped corn into a large roast pan. Once full put in oven to keep warm while the syrup cooks.

Combine and cook over medium heat: granulated sugar, corn syrup, water, salt, margarine and food coloring. Cook until syrup starts to boil & thicken, test by dropping some syrup into cold cup of water. Syrup is ready when it gets slightly hard. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Stir slightly then pour over popcorn. Stir popcorn to get syrup on the all the popcorn. Shape into medium sized popcorn balls by lightly packing together.
