2 T. flour
1 c. milk or chicken broth

Melt butter in small sauce pan and add flour. Cook until bubbly and add milk. Stir on medium heat until thickened.

For cheese sauce for cheesy green beans just add 1/4 c. shredded cheese or cheez whiz to the above mixture.

For Gravy add chicken broth instead of the milk used above to the butter and flour mixture.

Double the roux mixture for whatever amount of sauce or gravy you want. Four cups of gravy requires 8 T. of butter and flour. Butter and flour is double to liquid. Gravy use broth and cheese sauce use milk.
