4 eggs separated
1 C sugar, divided
2 qts milk
1 qt cream sherry
grated fresh nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg yolks until thick and lemon colored. Beat in 3/4 cup of sugar slowly until all the sugar is dissolved. Add milk and sherry. Chill.
Beat egg whites until stiff. Add rest of sugar gradually until dissolved.
Spoon into punchbowl. Pour sherry mixture into punchbowl. Sprinkle with nutmeg.
