2 lb. shoulder roast (cut into chunks) or stew beef meat
1 pkg. Lipton beefy onion soup
1 medium onion, chopped
1 pkg. South Eastern Mills brown gravy mix
Corn oil for frying

Directions:
Directions:
In a heavy pan, brown beef with a small amount of corn oil over medium heat. When browned, add onion soup and water. Bring to a boil, then lower heat to low and cook several hours until meat is tender. Add the chopped onion about halfway through cooking time.

Prepare the gravy mix according to package directions and pour into meat mixture. Continue cooking until meat and gravy reach desired consistency.

Serve over rice.
